Hospice Billing Update

Effective March 1, 2021, providers can submit the NPI of the residing nursing facility in box 77 (Operating provider) on the UB-04 claims form when billing Revenue Code 658. This will allow for more expedient processing of submitted claims.

If your billing software will not allow you to enter the NPI in box 77, you can continue to submit the nursing facility NPI in box 80. The claims will continue to be processed manually through the pre-existing process.
