Availity Essentials Secure Provider Portal - Submitting Authorizations

Iowa Total Care now has Availity Essentials as its secure provider portal. On November 18, 2024, providers became able to submit authorizations and access other payer resources via Availity Essentials.

To submit authorizations in Availity, the authorizations must be the same types of services previously approved in the Iowa Total Care legacy portal. Any authorization required from a third-party site (i.e. NIA/Evolent) will still be required to use that third-party platform for authorization of those specific services.
